Self-service card request application for a payment service provider in business travel management

Order

The contract comprised the design, development and implementation of a web application for card requests with the aim of automating manual process steps, expanding self-service options for customers and shortening the processing time for card applications.

Situation

A service provider specializing in business payments was faced with a high administrative burden due to manual checking and approval processes when processing card applications. The plan was to digitize the application process, expand the self-service functions and establish an efficient due diligence process.

Procedure

DI Experts initially developed a digital process engine that automates data collection, validation and scoring. National identity providers were integrated into the workflow for early verification of identity claims. Based on product and customer data, DI Experts dynamically adapted form fields and required attachments and implemented compliance and escalation rules to immediately detect and handle deviations. A dedicated team of analysts continuously monitored the process to ensure compliance with all KYC requirements. Technically, DI Experts implemented the application using Microsoft .NET and Angular to ensure a dynamic and secure application process.

Result

The customer significantly expanded its self-service portfolio and benefited from a considerable reduction in administrative work and faster due diligence activities. The automatic validation via authorized data sources relieved the back-office team and significantly shortened the processing times for card applications. Overall, the new solution led to greater employee satisfaction and more efficient application management processes.
