Redesigning a branch as a learning lab

DI Experts was commissioned to redesign the branch as a "learning lab". The aim was to use the immersive concept to gain deeper insights into customer needs and market trends and, on this basis, to derive well-founded recommendations for strategic development.

Situation

The existing 2,350 m² store presented a classic shopping format. In future, however, it was to offer a multi-sensory experience that combines visual, haptic, olfactory and auditory elements. The challenge was to harmonize these diverse sensory impressions with customer expectations and the brand identity.

Procedure

DI Experts took over the project management over a period of six months and ensured a consistent concept through stringent coordination of all work streams. Requirements and progress were discussed with all project participants in regular coordination meetings to ensure transparency and efficiency. At the same time, DI Experts implemented a structured feedback system that recorded feedback from customers and employees in real time and enabled continuous improvements to the store design.

Result

The redesigned store now serves as a learning lab where customers can test new retail concepts in a real shopping environment. The multi-sensory store design not only provides an innovative customer experience, but also generates reliable data on preferences and behavioral patterns. DI Experts has thus created the basis for future innovations in the retail sector and strengthened the company's competitive position in the long term.
