Digital transformation strategy for an international consumer goods manufacturer

The assignment included the development of an IT strategy that evolved into a holistic digital transformation program to consistently align the organization with the needs of end customers.

Situation

A comprehensive digital maturity review showed that although various initiatives were already in place, a consistent, consumer-centric approach was lacking. The goal was to transform the brand into an organization that enables personalized and seamless customer experiences.

Procedure

DI Experts began with a discovery phase to document the current situation and define the project objectives. DI Experts then defined the framework for the solution design and implementation strategy in a planning phase. During these phases, thousands of data points were collected using surveys, interviews and workshops and evaluated using a data analysis tool. Based on these findings, DI Experts evaluated existing initiatives and developed future packages of measures.

Result

The result was a framework for digital transformation based on consumer-centric insights. In addition, the current status of internal and customer-oriented activities was fully mapped. The evaluation of thousands of data points identified key opportunities and challenges and led to a detailed implementation plan with clear budget and resource estimates.
