The client commissioned DI Experts to take over project management in the area of retail innovation on an interim basis and to develop and optimize the governance structure for innovation projects.

Situation

The fashion retailer lacked standardized processes for evaluating, prioritizing and integrating new retail innovations into the existing omnichannel strategy, which led to inefficient decision-making processes and delayed project implementations.

Procedure

DI Experts took over the management of the innovation project on an interim basis, restructured the project organization and communication and implemented a lean governance model. New tools and frameworks were introduced to systematically record, evaluate and prioritize innovation ideas. In interactive workshops, DI Experts worked closely with internal stakeholders from various departments to sharpen the omnichannel vision and define operational guidelines.

Result

The newly established innovation governance accelerated the decision-making process so that pilot projects could be launched quickly. Thanks to the clear omnichannel strategy and the evaluation tools introduced, the customer is now in a position to efficiently integrate new retail innovations and implement them sustainably.
