Optimization of the IT strategy and development of an enterprise architecture for a health and fitness company

Situation

An international health and fitness company was looking for support to better align its IT strategy with business objectives and establish a structured Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) practice. The aim was to create a resilient foundation for a sustainable digital transformation and maximize the value of IT for the company.

Procedure

DI Experts established a dedicated enterprise architecture function and implemented suitable EAM tools to map central artifacts such as AS-IS models, an application and interface repository and metadata structures. A governance model was then developed and a target architecture for the year 2025 was defined, taking into account multi-layered requirements for business processes, data flows and infrastructure. At the same time, DI Experts advised the CIO level on industry patterns and current trends in order to strategically strengthen the internal IT team.

Result

The project resulted in a fully developed IT and digital strategy for 2025, including a coordinated roadmap and an investment plan for implementation. Governance was also improved by establishing optimized tools and processes that ensure sustainable management of the enterprise architecture.
