ESG monitoring for premium shopping destinations

The client commissioned DI Experts to develop and implement tools, processes and a digital platform that make the environmental, social and governance performance of its shopping destinations visible and controllable.

A global operator of premium high streets wanted to firmly integrate ESG standards into the fit-out and operational processes of its partner brands. The aim was to continuously monitor and improve key sustainability figures and comply with international standards such as BREEAM and GRESB.

DI Experts first developed new ESG guidelines for store operations with the involvement of the retail development team. This was followed by the review and selection of a digital monitoring platform, the implementation of which DI Experts supported in the form of an operational performance dashboard. At the same time, DI Experts coordinated brand-related ESG initiatives, provided missing capacities and trained the project and brand managers in the use of the new tools and processes.

DI Experts created a comprehensive sustainability manual based on international standards and adapted it to national and regional requirements. The implemented tools and processes enable seamless monitoring of ESG performance, including data and certificate submission. Resource efficiency and reporting were optimized through integration into the existing IT landscape. Best-practice approaches promote long-term partnerships and motivate brands to continuously improve their ESG performance.
