Modernization of the digital workplace environment for an international sportswear company

Order

The client commissioned DI Experts to develop and gradually implement a future-proof digital workplace environment for the new "On Labs" campus in Zurich West. The aim was to optimize the employee experience through modern technologies and at the same time create a blueprint for global branches.

Situation

With the opening of the Innovation Campus in the heart of Zurich West, the client created space for 1,000 employees, a flagship store and the first vegan company restaurant in Europe. The working environment was designed to promote creativity, social interaction and employee well-being. However, there was a lack of standardized digital solutions for room booking, communication and scaling the concept to other locations.

Procedure

DI Experts started with a comprehensive discovery phase in which interviews with management and specialist departments defined the requirements for the new office areas. Various room types were then analyzed in order to document their specific usage profiles and technical requirements. On this basis, DI Experts used a rapid prototyping approach to design an initial workplace concept that combined state-of-the-art technologies and current trends. In the next step, DI Experts supported the tendering process to select suitable providers and carried out a detailed cost-benefit analysis of the service offers. In parallel, DI Experts recommended digital solutions to improve the employee experience, implemented them and created comprehensive documentation that serves as a template for scaling the digital workplace in other branches.

Result

The newly implemented digital workplace platform offers employees a holistic plug-and-play experience: intuitive room booking tools ensure efficient use of space, while integrated video and audio solutions noticeably improve collaboration in distributed teams. The strong brand presence is consistent across all touchpoints and promotes identification with the company. Thanks to standardized documentation, concepts can be reproduced worldwide and optimized procurement processes reduce costs by up to 25 %.
